ORONO — A new University of Maine initiative, to build agricultural literacy as a result of an immersive culinary practical experience for vocation and technological education and learning (CTE) culinary arts instructors, is one particular of 21 projects funded nationwide by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Foodstuff and Agriculture.
NIFA has invested $6.2 million in the skilled enhancement and secondary school teacher grants to maximize the selection of teachers and educational gurus educated in the food items and agricultural sciences.
